THE motionless body of 64-year-old Clive Skeete, called “Bungo”, of Lot 17 Seafield, West Coast Berbice, was discovered at the Rising Sun Backdam, West Coast Berbice on Friday at 11:30 hrs, following a telephone report to police by an unknown person. The report caused a party of police to visit the scene, where, on arrival, they observed what appeared to be blood around the area of the mouth and nose of the pensioner. A bag of unpeeled coconuts was discovered about 30 feet north of the body. The body of Skeete was identified by his son, Leon Skeete, who informed the authorities that he last saw his father alive at his home about two weeks ago. The body was removed and taken to the Fort Wellington Public Hospital, West Coast Berbice, where it was declared dead by a doctor on duty. The body was then taken to the Bailey’s Funeral Home, West Coast Berbice, where it is awaiting a Post Mortem Examination (PME). Police are investing the cause of death.
