A MAN, who is suspected of robbing a Region Two resident in front of the Jones Supermarket at Cotton Field on Monday evening, was found shortly after hiding in a nearby house.
The Guyana Chronicle understands that several residents saw him, allegedly, committing the robbery and gave chase. The man ran into a house and hid.
According to information, the occupants of the house denied any affiliation with the man or that he was “hanging out” there.
Police, who were later called to the scene, found the man locked inside the house. He was arrested and taken to the Anna Regina Police Station.
He is currently assisting the police with the investigation.
