BERBICE Cricket Board (BCB) president, Hilbert Foster, recently paid a courtesy call to the Everest Cricket Club (ECC) at the invitation of that club’s president and Speaker of the National Assembly, Mansoor Nadir.
Foster was accompanied by treasurer of the board Dr. Cecil Beharry and assistant Secretary of the Rose Hall Town Youth and Sports Club (RHTYSC), Simon Naidu.

Foster and Nadir discussed several areas of co-operation between the two clubs.
The RHTYSC U-23 team is set to play their Everest counterparts next month in a specially arranged match while several members, along with Mr. Nadir, committed themselves to assisting the Basil Butcher Memorial Trust Fund which would shortly assist less fortunate youths across Guyana with cricket gear, cycles, and school bags.

After being taken on a comprehensive tour of the club’s expansion work, Foster congratulated Nadir and his executives for their outstanding work to promote sports, as the two leaders committed themselves to working together to strengthen the relationship in the future.
The RHTYSC is also set to host a return visit by Everest later in the year, while plans would also be on stream for a Masters match.
