A 19-year-old boy, who was on his way to a vulcanizing shop on Saturday night, was held at gunpoint and robbed of his aunt’s $300,000 grey wave 110 motorcycle.
Police Headquarters reported that the robbery occurred around 22:30hrs in Cummings Lodge, East Coast Demerara.
According to the police report, the aunt loaned the motorcyle to the teenager and while he was pushing it to the vulcanizing shop in the vicinity of Sixth Street Access Road, he was approached by the two suspects on a black XR motorcycle.
The suspects, who were armed with handguns, held the victim at gunpoint and relieved him of the said motorcycle. One of the suspects then mounted the motorcycle and escaped.
Investigations are ongoing.
