Boy, 15, beaten and robbed by ‘friends’

POLICE have arrested two of four men who robbed and beat a 15-year-old boy on Saturday night at Phase Two, Good Hope, East Coast Demerara.
Police Headquarters, in a report, noted that the teenager was robbed of a Blu Samsung Galaxy cell phone valued $34,000 and $7,000 in cash, around 22:00hrs.
According to the police report, the victim, along with two others, went to a shop about two corners away from their home. There, the victim saw some of his friends who were liming and drinking alcohol.
He approached his ‘friends’ but one of the men held him at knife point, while another pushed his hands into his right-side pocket to take out his wallet but the teenager put up a resistance, which caused the other suspects to cuff him about his body.
The victim managed to escape; two of the suspects were arrested and are currently in custody assisting with the ongoing investigation.
