CANADA-GUYANA Chamber of Commerce’s (CGCC) Chief Executive Officer (CEO), Natalia Seepersaud, on Friday, handed over a quantity of food and sanitation items as well as monetary donations to Patrice Wishart, Public Relations Officer at the Civil Defence Commission (CDC).
According to a release, Wishart expressed gratitude to the chamber for the kind gesture.
“The Civil Defence Commission wishes to express gratitude to the Canada-Guyana Chamber of Commerce and the myriad of businesses for their timely contributions toward the national flood relief effort. The supplies and funds will aid affected residents across Guyana tremendously.”
In an invited comment, Anand Beharry, Chairman of the CGCC said, “As members of Guyana’s business community, we are deeply committed to helping our colleagues and communities in Guyana during this tremendously challenging time and we are honoured to support the disaster relief efforts of the Government of Guyana through the CDC.”
The CGCC has also extended appreciation to Cataleya Energy Limited., Caribbean Container Inc., Comfort Sleep Inc., Dean Hassan, Edward Beharry & Co., ETK Inc., Guyana Bank for Trade and Industry, Wine Cellar, North American Fire Insurance Co. Ltd., North American Life Insurance Co. Ltd., and Sterling Products Limited, for their generosity.
