CHIEF-of-Staff Brigadier Godfrey Bess and a four-member team were over the last few days guests of the United States Southern Command (US SOUTHCOM) at its Headquarters in Miami, Florida. The visit was geared at conducting critical leadership engagements with the US SOUTHCOM’s Commander, Admiral Craig Faller and other SOUTHCOM members.
The meeting came on the heels of a wide array of topical discussions between Brigadier Bess and Admiral Faller during the Commander’s January 2021 visit to Guyana. It also served as a follow-up to the bilateral meeting between the two military leaders at the Caribbean Security Conference (CANSEC) 2021.
This was Brigadier Bess’s first visit to the US SOUTHCOM.
While in the US, Brigadier Bess also met Director of Joint Inter-Agency Task Force South, Rear Admiral Douglas Fears at his headquarters.
