POLICE are investigating the death of 40-year-old Lopez Cardenas Yoesmarita, who was purportedly killed on Wednesday around 05:00 hours at Charlotte Street, Georgetown.
It was reported that the victim was armed with a knife and was attempting to physically remove the suspect, a relative, from the premises.
The situation quickly escalated as the men got into a scuffle, which ended with the suspect taking the knife from Yoesmarita, a Cuban national, and stabbing him to his lower back.
The suspect was arrested and is being held at the Alberttown Police Station, as investigations into the incident continue.
