Brazilian gold miner allegedly robbed of $3.2M in raw gold

A Brazilian gold miner was reportedly robbed of a quantity of raw gold valuing over $3 million.
The miner, 62-year-old Paulino De Jesus, who is staying at the Sheriff Inn Hotel, Second Street, Bartica, said there was no sign of forced entry into his room, but his items, which include the raw gold, cannot be located. De Jesus told police that he checked into the hotel and retired to bed around midnight, but upon waking, he discovered that his items were missing. The miner claimed that his passport and other important documents, $30,000 and 320 grams of raw gold, totalling $3.2 million, were stolen from his room.
