DERRICK Robinson of Red Road, Sophia, who was allegedly found with 97 grams of
cannabis in his possession, appeared at the Georgetown Magistrates’ Court and was placed on $50,000 bail by Chief Magistrate Ann McLennan.

Robinson denied that on April 13, 2021, at North Road, Bourda, he had in his possession 97 grams of cannabis for the purpose of trafficking.

According to the prosecution, between 16:00 and 17:00hrs, ranks of the Narcotics Branch, proceeded to North Road, Bourda, where Robinson was contacted. A search was immediately conducted on his person and a multicoloured bag was found. It allegedly contained 10 transparent ziplock bags, each containing leaves, seeds and stems suspected to be cannabis.

Robinson was arrested and later charged.

The matter was adjourned to May 17, 2021.
