…will face Costa Rica in must-win game
GUYANA will close out their campaign at the FIBA 2023 World Cup Pre-Qualifiers today, when they come up against Costa Rica tonight from 18:00hrs.
Having lost back-to-back to Nicaragua (73 – 84) and Jamaica (87 – 107), Guyana played their third game against El Salvador last evening.
The Jamaicans sit on top of the five-team table with two wins out of as many matches and they faced Nicaragua in last night’s opening game of the double-header.
Costa Rica, on the other hand, would’ve lost their opening game against Jamaica (67 – 69) but bounced back to win 78 – 58 against El Salvador.
The top three teams will advance to the next round of the qualifiers in July.
