LOCAL manufacturing company, Twins Manufacturing Chemists, on Tuesday, awarded a series of cash donations to help persons in need, to commemorate the occasion of their 50th anniversary. The donation was conducted at the company’s location, Industrial Estate, Ruimveldt, and saw local organisations, including the Ptolemy Reid Rehabilitation Centre, Bless the Children Home, Guyana Cancer Foundation, the Dharm Shala and Rose for Relief, an organisation in Berbice, which assists single mothers, receiving various amounts of cash. Several products were also handed over to the Ministry of Public Works, for distribution within communities in Linden. The donation comes one year after the arrival of COVID-19 in Guyana and at time when some persons and organisations are still struggling to make ends meet. The donation is part of a bid by the manufacturing company to give back to 15 charities, outreaches and medical programmes, to thank their customers for their ongoing support.
