COLD Fusion made light work of Banks DIH and State Auditors when their feature dominoes game climaxed last Sunday at Cold Fusion Sports Bar, at Zeelugt, East Bank, Essequibo. After taking the lead in the first sitting, where Cold Fusion marked 15 games to State Auditors eight and Banks DIH six, the eventual winners never let up as they led throughout. Cold Fusion topped with 91 games with Banks DIH placing second on 79 while State Auditors finished in the cellar on 61 games.
Robin Persaud led the way for the winners with the maximum 18 games and received great support from Sharda McKend with 16 games while Radesh Sooklall and Taslim Inshan scored 15 games each and Balram Sammy 14. For Banks DIH, Kenneth Hazel played through and made 30 games, Justin Stoby registered 15 and Jose Felicien 14 games. State Auditors’ top player was Tychious McAlmont with 16 games while his teammate Andrew Quintin was the lone lovebird,
The winning team received a trophy and $24 000, while the second-place team got $12 000. The three teams will clash again at the same venue on Sunday, April 11.
