NALICO/NAFICO joins sponsorship team

INVESTMENT in motorsport for the long run was the announcement by local insurance company NALICO/NAFICO who yesterday joined the sponsorship team for this weekend’s drag race round one.
The company, through representative, Azad Sulaiman, contended that they are interested in the development of motorsport.
“On behalf of the Board of Directors, the Management and Staff of NALICO/NAFICO we would like to say that we are happy with everything that GMR&SC has been doing and we are proud of the initiative that they have been taking,” Sulaiman said.

He added, “We are extremely excited to see what is going to go down with the new strip and Team Mohamed’s Nissan GTRs.”
Meanwhile the club had released a briefing yesterday for all drivers, specifying that all competitors for both cars and bikes must be registered with medicals in addition to other necessary requirements before they would be allowed to race.
Cars were seen testing on the venue all week ahead of tomorrow’s meet and the unofficial feedback is one of satisfaction.
Tickets are going like hot cakes and fans desirous of witnessing the action can get them at the GMR&SC’s Albert Street office at a cost of $2 000 for adults and $500 for children. Meanwhile, VIP tickets cost $8 000.
