A FLAG-RAISING ceremony, in honour of Guyana’s 51st Republic Day anniversary, was held on Monday in the compound of the Regional Democratic Council (RDC), Vreed-en-Hoop, West Coast Demerara and saw the attendance of approximately 140 persons.

The ceremony was attended by Regional Chairman, Sheik Ayube; Vice Chairman, Omesh Satyanand; Regional Executive Officer, Jagnarine Sumra; Divisional Commander, Senior Superintendent Errol Watts and others. The feature address was delivered by the Regional Chairman followed by the hoisting of the Golden Arrow Head by Police Corporal 21131 Thomas.

The march past parade was led by Assistant Superintendent Williams and included a platoon of police and fire service ranks. The salute was taken by the Regional Chairman.
