JAMES Jhingree from Chateu Margot is the grand prize winner of the Guyana Telephone and Telegraph Company’s (GTT) “Stay in Touch” Christmas promotion. Jhingree will benefit from a GTT ‘Smart Home Makeover’ inclusive of three months of free Blaze (powered by Plume HomePass) Internet Service. His winnings also include a brand new Smart Washing Machine, a Samsung 58’’ TV, a Google Home Smart Talk, a Smart Doorbell, a Smart Wireless Pan, Tilt and Zoom Camera, two Amazon tablets and two cell phones.

Through his ‘Smart Home Makeover’, Jhingree can conveniently control his home appliances and devices remotely, using a mobile or other networked platform. “I am most excited about these prizes since it means the complete transformation and modernisation of my home,” an elated Jhingree stated. GTT customers who applied for Blaze during the holiday period were eligible to enter the year-end competition. Winners were announced, and prizes distributed on Wednesday, during an intimate ceremony at GTT’s Head Office.

After the randomised selection process, Romario Chung emerged as the first prize winner and Marcia Sandy copped the second prize. Chung indicated that this win would help with his education.“Studying online can be difficult at times – the items that I won will help to enhance this experience, thanks to GTT,” Chung noted. Chung received three months of free Internet service, a Samsung 55” TV, a Google Home Smart Talk, an Amazon tablet and two cellular phones.

Sandy’s second prize consisted of a Smart Wireless Pan, Tilt and Zoom Camera, two Amazon tablets, two cellular phones and three months of free Internet service. At the prize-giving ceremony, Sandy encouraged persons to sign up for GTT’s Blaze service to enjoy “…great internet service”. GTT’s Broadband Coordinator, Tashandra Inniss, congratulated the winners and thanked GTT’s partners for their contributions in making the Christmas promotion a success.

“Because of our partnerships with Courts Guyana, A. Ally & Sons, Cell Phone Shack, Gizmos & Gadgets and Starr Computers, we were able to make these super trendy and tech-forward prizes available to our three winners and bring a successful close to our Christmas activity,” Inniss said.
