The materials were provided by Region Two administration. “It is a partnership and I am happy that this is growing. The work of the officers is commendable and they have indicated that they will also help in visiting conservancy structures as well as help to repair D&I,” Odit said. The motorists who use the roadway on a daily basis were most affected. This newspaper was told that whenever it rained, the huge potholes on the roadway would become filled with water and often times, motorists were unable to drive properly. Several motorists, who spoke with the Guyana Chronicle also commended the efforts of the GDF ranks and other key stakeholders in rectifying the situation. “The huge potholes in the Adventure road was a disaster waiting to happen. I am happy that this was fixed before anything worse happened,” Ravin Carroll said. The servicemen will assist the region with filling other potholes in roads along the Essequibo Coast.
