GWI distributes 270 ‘hot meals’ in Regions 4 and 6

THE Guyana Water Incorporated (GWI) on Tuesday hosted its first ever ‘Holiday Hot Meal’ activities in Central Georgetown, in Region Four (Demerara-Mahaica), and New Amsterdam, Berbice, in Region Six (East Berbice-Corentyne).
This saw 150 hot meals and beverages being distributed in the capital city, and another 120 hot meals and beverages being distributed in Berbice.
Ministers of Housing and Water, Mr. Collin Croal and Ms. Susan Rodrigues joined the mobile GWI team, and assisted in the distribution of the meals and beverages, in the vicinity of the New Amsterdam Market.

GWI’s team in Georgetown included Executive Director of Human Resources Management and Development, Mr. Elvis Jordon; Executive Director of Corporate Services, Mr. Nigel Niles and other staff. This leg of the activity was done in the vicinity of the Bourda Market.
The initiative is a collaborative one among the company, management and board of directors who have given generously to make it a success.
GWI takes pride in its quest to fulfill its corporate social responsibility by, among other initiatives, giving back to communities, a release from the company said.
