GAME Xpress will serve as Bronze sponsor for the upcoming Over-45 Big Man Cricket-Guyana (BMC-G) T25 competition, which is scheduled to commence on Sunday November 22.

Proprietor of the store, Audie Henriques, is committed to giving back to the community, as many of the cricketers who are playing in this tournament are drawn from across the country and are possibly his current customers or could possibly be future customers to his store.

According to one of the BMC-G directors, Raj Singh, the upcoming competition will see 10 teams do battle. He noted that many groups have indicated their interest, but it will be on a first come, first served basis.

Over the next week the organisation would also disclose their Silver and Gold sponsors.

The winning team will collect $500 000, while the second-placed would receive $200 000.

Singh noted that systems are falling into place for the hosting of the event countrywide.

The essence of the competition is to invigorate older cricketers, to not only keep them active, but also to get them back into the game at a higher level.

The event has been endorsed by several persons and entities, including the Ministry of Culture Youth and Sport, but not by the Guyana Cricket Board.

At the regional level, Cricket West Indies (CWI) has also recognised the regional body Cricket West Indies Masters Association (CWIMA) Steering Committee.
