Dear editor,

Since the President announced his appointment of two Senior Counsel, Mr. Anil Nandlall and Mr. Timothy Jonas, I managed to privately congratulate Mr. Nandlall and now I congratulate both these outstanding Guyanese publicly. They are both well deserving candidates. I am sure all Guyanese endorse this step.

I believe there is another very outstanding lawyer who is just as deserving but was not considered at this time. That is Mr. Nigel Hughes; he is one of the better lawyers in this country and is a deserving candidate for Senior Council.

I look forward to seeing him so recognised in the near future.

I know it is a bit late but congrats once more to Mr. Nandlall and Mr. Jonas. And I look forward in congratulating Mr. Hughes in the not too distant future.
