THE Rajkumar family of Golden Fleece Public Road on the Essequibo Coast in Region Two has been plunged into deep mourning after receiving the tragic news that their father was killed on the Golden Fleece Public Road.

Dead is 59-year-old Tulsieram Rajkumar also known as Otam; he was struck off his bicycle around 17:45hrs on Saturday.
A 57-year-old driver of Perseverance Public Road is currently in police custody assisting with investigations. The Sunday Chronicle understands that Rajkumar was riding home when he and a car collided.

“His bicycle was one side [and] he was one side; it appeared like he died on the spot; he received injuries to his head,” an eyewitness told this newspaper.
Rajkumar was picked up in an unconscious state and rushed to the Suddie Public Hospital where he was pronounced dead on arrival. He was a fisherman who fathered 11 children.
