POLICE are investigating the murder of an elderly woman, whose bound body was found in her Old Road, La Grange, West Bank Demerara home on Sunday afternoon.
Dead is 86-year-old Bibi Ramjit. She lived alone at the property. The Guyana Chronicle was reliably informed that the woman’s body was discovered between 15:00 hours and 17:00 hours.
Police suspect that the motive was robbery as the woman’s house was found ransacked. It is unclear at this time how Ramjit was murdered. Up to press time, investigators were still at the scene.
