… Guyana Jags all-rounder Reifer among Test reserves

GUYANESE stars Shimron Hetmyer and Keemo Paul return to the West Indies team ahead of the proposed New Zealand tour which is expected to bowl off November 27 through December 15 2020.
Cricket West Indies (CWI) yesterday announced the squads for the respective 3 T20 Internationals and 2 Tests which follow the bio-secure England series which was the first international series to be played amidst the pandemic.

Selectors have opted for a strong team, led by Jason Holder and featuring regulars like Shane Dowrich, Shannon Gabriel, Kraigg Braithwaite, Roston Chase and others who have formed the core of the Caribbean side’s Test unit over the past few years.

After a fantastic 2020 Hero CPL, Darren Bravo will also take his form back into the Test side, following the two Guyanese as the premier players to return after opting out of the England series.
Among those named in the reserves, Barbados-born Guyana Jaguars all-rounder Raymon Reifer, classy Windies youth batsman Joshua DaSilva, Nkrumah Bonner, Shayne Moseley, Preston McSween and Jayden Seales received the selectors nod.

Regarding the T20 unit, a few stars also make their return with Andre Fletcher, being named in the side since 2018 while Kyle Mayers continues to boost his career as he too was named in the squad following a brilliant Regional season and CPL.
