OTIS SLOWE, 17, who escaped from police custody in March 2020, was, on Saturday, recaptured at Ogle Old Road, East Coast Demerara (ECD), police have confirmed.
Police said the school dropout of BenProfit Drive, Plaisance, ECD, was remanded to the Juvenile Holding Centre on November 18, 2019 for the attempted murder of former national boxer, Gladwin Dorway, on June 30, 2019 at Plaisance.
On the night of the incident, it was reported that Dorway, known as “Tiger” and the teen were involved in a fight when the teen whipped out a knife and stabbed Dorway before making good his escape.
He was later arrested and charged while the former boxer spent several days at the Georgetown Public Hospital.
