AN online employment marketplace that leverages Artificial Intelligence (AI) powered by smart matching technology to actively connect employers and job seekers has been launched in the form of “GuyanaWorx”.
Chief Executive Office of GuyanaWorx, Salaudeen Nausrdeen, said the website will attract skilled and experienced professionals to supply the human capital that is required to nourish Guyana’s economic prosperity.
“With the discovery of oil and gas and the recommitment to traditional industries by the private sector and government, the Guyana economy is projected to grow significantly, in excess of 50 per cent over the next decade,” he explained.
Such growth, he said, is unprecedented and will precipitate a massive transformation of the country and its economy.
Nausrdeen said the extraordinary growth will demand thousands of skilled and professional personnel that Guyana’s current workforce is unable to supply.
Adding that the private enterprise and government leaders will always seek qualified and skilled staff to execute various duties, he said GuyanaWorx seeks to directly eliminate the gap and create a pool or persons to interact with.
“It is intended to assist the transformation of Guyana by addressing the human capital needs that are as critical as financial capital. GuyanaWorx is a career bridge connecting employers in Guyana with job seekers around the world, especially the skilled and experienced Guyanese diaspora population in the US, Canada, the Caribbean and further afield,” Nausrdeen explained.
GuyanaWorx, he said, is an easy-to-use career platform built to help companies find the right talent and professionals that would enable their smooth operation and success in the growing economy.
To ensure maximum exposure to both employer and jobseeker, Nausrdeen said GuyanaWorx will actively promote and partner globally by being ahead of the developmental trajectory on which Guyana has embarked.
“Government is also investing heavily in infrastructure and agriculture and this will require thousands of skilled and experienced people. It is estimated that Guyana will need to fill 50,000 or more skilled positions in the next few years. GuyanaWorx seeks to provide a comprehensive platform to connect companies in Guyana with a pool of skilled professionals from across the world and within Guyana,” he explained.
The website can be accessed at https://guyanaworx.com/.
