According to information, both Khan and Grinds went to Aurora to pay Sahiza Khan, the owner of Gold Hotel, some money that they owed her. They travelled using a Mazda motor car, PRR 1219. After conducting their transaction, they drove off when they heard two gunshots and became scared.

Grinds, who was the driver, drove off with speed when he heard the shots; however, when he looked to the passenger’s side of the car where Reeaz Khan was, he noticed that Khan was shot in the face between his nose and left eye. Grinds was shot to his left arm and palm area.

The incident occurred on Tuesday at around 19:30 hrs. Grinds continued to drive and took his friend to the Suddie Public Hospital where both of them were admitted to the hospital. The matter was also reported to the Suddie Police Station where investigators visited the area.

No one has been held thus far and the two men have no suspect in mind. Police have observed two holes on the car doors, one on the driver side and the other on the front passenger’s side. One .32 spent shell was found in the front passenger seat on the floor.
