BANDITS attempted to rob the Scotia Bank ATM in the Courtyard Mall, Robb Street, Georgetown, in the wee hours of Sunday morning but were not as successful as their counterparts in movies.

Reports indicate that the bandits gained access to the Scotia Bank ATM after breaking into a barbershop that is located adjacent to the outlet.
The bandits allegedly dug a hole through the concrete wall and later realised that the safe was designed to withstand a welding torch.
At the Courtyard Mall there was no security but an alarm was raised after someone noticed what was happening and the masked bandits sprinted from the scene.
Police have obtained security footage from the robbery site as investigations continue.
