WITH Guyana’s emerging oil-and-gas sector set to jump start the country’s economy and propel Guyana into the future, several companies have positioned themselves to become involved in the sector through offering innovative ideas and solutions to ensure that Guyanese citizens and businesses can best make use of this new resource.
MBW Energy Support Services Inc, a unique brand which is owned solely by women, is set to make its mark by offering consulting services for companies that are looking to enter the oil-and-gas space in Guyana.

Already boasting clients in Trinidad, the USA, Dubai and Africa, the company said it is ready to facilitate all aspects of the burgeoning industry in Guyana. The company’s Corporate Solutions Division will offer a wide variety of services such as plant maintenance, project management, shut-down planning, lifting & rigging, and welding and fabrication.
At the helm of the company is Abbigale Loncke, who in the last decade has established herself as a forward-thinking and award-winning young entrepreneur, once recognised by former U.S. President Barack Obama.

Before heading MBW, Loncke had already established herself for her leadership in the health care services industry, and as the host and organiser of an annual Women in Business summit. The summit has attracted participation from across the globe and Loncke says she is excited to be leading the relatively new energy support services company at a time when Guyana is establishing itself as a major player in the industry.

“We believe that Guyana is entering a new and exciting era, and we are more than glad to be part of this journey where the possibilities are endless, and which in the end will uplift both the Guyanese spirit and empower its people,” she said philosophically.
Loncke further added that she understands the importance of support services to the energy sector and as such, the company is uniquely positioned with the experience and the expertise to provide a range of services to address People Solutions, Corporate Solutions and Facilities Management Solutions.

“We are not just facilitating companies in the oil-and-gas sector, but we are effectively facilitating change; and we are facilitating transformation,” she said.
In addition to the consultation services that the company will be offering for the oil-and-gas sector, MBW currently helps companies already operating in, or seeking to come to Guyana, in recruitment, relocation and training services in addition to facilities management solutions such as HVAC Services, as well as electrical, plumbing, and janitorial services.
