A twenty-eight-year old West Coast Berbice (WCB) woman is currently fighting for her life after being shot in the face Wednesday morning by a man who is said to be her boyfriend.
Devlin Garraway, a mother of three, was shot in her home at Number 30 Village, WCB around 0930 hrs by her assailant.
A relative said:”Earlier in the week she told him that their relationship was over. He visited her this morning and neighbors said they heard voices raised in anger and then the sound of a gunshot.”
Moments later the male suspect was seen fleeing from the scene in a motor car.
Garraway was rushed to the Fort Wellington Hospital where she received emergency medical treatment and then later transferred to the New Amsterdam Hospital.
