We commend Mr Lowenfield and staff for their diligence

Dear Editor
CUFFY 250 and the undersigned organisations noted that the Chief Elections Officer Mr. Keith Lowenfield has presented his report to the elections commission and has concluded that based on his findings, “it cannot be ascertained that the results meet the standards of free and credible elections.”

Mr. Lowenfield and his dedicated staff have obviously worked assiduously to review the recounted ballots and the observation reports before completing these comprehensive assessments and arriving at this conclusion. We commend the chief elections officer and his staff for their diligence.

We are firmly convinced that all parties who participated in this revealing comprehensive recount process must embrace its findings and allow the elections commission to complete the process for the satisfaction of the people of Guyana.
