THREE men, who carried an unlicensed firearm, were arrested, on Thursday afternoon, by the police, after they were seen acting in a suspicious manner, near several business establishments at Eccles Industrial Site, on the East Bank of Demerara.

According to reports reaching the Guyana Chronicle, the men were seen driving around the area in motor car PJJ 2560 and acting in a suspicious manner.
However, at13:45hours, the police were alerted and the men were nabbed.
As the police were in the process of conducting a search, two of the suspects made a bold attempt to escape, but were promptly detained, along with the driver.
An unlicensed pistol with two live ammunition was found in the possession of one of the men. The motor car was impounded.
