A resident of East Coast Demerara is currently in police custody after he was nabbed on Saturday, May 2, 2020, while throwing a parcel of contraband over the southern fence of the Lusignan Prison.

Director of Prison Gladwin Samuels explained that Joseph Fiffee was nabbed around 16:05 hours after he was seen throwing  a parcel into the prison fence which contained a quantity of cigarettes, rolling paper for smoking along with a cellphone and charger.

Fiffee, who is known to the police was  released from prison two months after being on remand for other criminal activities.He will be processed by the police.
