THE Police are currently on the hunt for two suspects, who are wanted in connection with the murder of 24-year-old Lawrence Raymond Benjamin called “Lil boy”.

Benjamin, of Ice House Road, Timehri, was stabbed and killed by two males on Sunday, April 5, 2020 at a shop in his village. He was reportedly chased by his assailants.

His body was discovered sitting in a white plastic chair with stab wounds to his neck and ribs. He was clad in a white vest and blue short pants.

The discovery was made by persons in the Timehri village, around 09:30 hours, on the day in question. The father of one was rushed to the Diamond Hospital, where he was pronounced dead on arrival.

The Guyana Chronicle had reported that there was a feud between the “ice house” gang and another gang and such may be linked to Benjamin’s death.

On Tuesday, April 7, 2020, a police source confirmed that, based on an eyewitness’ statement, the police will soon be issuing a wanted bulletin for the two known suspects.
