Mercy Hospital beefs up screening to protect against COVID-19

THE St. Joseph Mercy Hospital said it has set up a wellness checkpoint at its entrance, as part of efforts to manage the risks associated with the COVID-19 virus.

All staff, clients and visitors must go through this wellness checkpoint where medical personnel will do an initial screening to determine any symptoms of the virus, the hospital said in a release.

Upon arrival at Mercy, all persons are expected to check into the wellness tent where our nurses will ask questions and check your body temperature. The nurses will then advise you to wash hands or sanitize the hands with sanitizers provided. If you have symptoms of COVID-19, please call the hotline numbers: 227-4986 /624-3067 for assistance and advice. The St Joseph Mercy Hospital does not test and treat for COVID-19.
