A 29-year old man died on Saturday night after he was struck down by a truck at Providence on the East Bank of Demerara.

Reports are that Everton Charles was riding along the roadway when a sand truck, bearing registration GXX3989 struck him.The driver continued on his journey as Charles laid motionless on the roadway.

An investigation into the man’s death is ongoing.
