PPP let us all down

Dear Editor,
DURING the reign of President Jagdeo, Guyana witnessed the horrors of mass killings which were blamed on ‘rival gangs.’

Under Jagdeo’s watch whole families were butchered at Lusignan, Bartica and at Lindo Creek. When we remembered the Lusignan Massacre of 11 persons on January 27, it was sad to hear Anil Nandlall, the PPP spokesman, blaming the army for guns that reached the hands of bandits. Nandlall was an attorney general and he should know about criminal incitement. He should also know about the consequences of racial incitement. The fact of the matter is that the PPP government was incapable of protecting our citizens, not even their own minister (Sawh) and his family who were gunned down in cold blood by murderers they have never brought to justice. The PPP should not ask anyone for a vote, as it has let us all down and left us to the mercies of killers.

Rovin Singh
