ANSA McAl Trading Limited opened its T.Wee Gourmet Shoppe at the Giftland Mall on Saturday December 21, 2019. The T.Wee Brand started out as a line of duty free stores originating in Trinidad and only recently made its way to the Cheddi Jagan International Airport after the brand came under the control of Ansa McAl Trading Limited.
The T.wee Gourmet Shoppe is an extension of the duty free stores offering Guyanese persons the chance to purchase wines, champagnes, Eldorado products as well as an extensive selection of chasers, chocolates and even teas in an easily accessible environment.

Speaking with the Country Manager of T.wee Gourmet Shoppe and T.wee duty free stores in Guyana, Tanya Wilcott, she related that the gourmet shop is aiming to give persons a new and exciting experience that would draw them in. “It is going to give persons a different type of feeling when they come in here; it’s something different. We are offering a wide range of beverages, both local and international brands, to cater to all, for whatever specific taste you may have as an individual, we would have something to offer you.”
In addition to the wide variety of beverages that customers will be able to choose from, T.Wee is also offering to its customers a fine wine and coffee bar where the customers can drink at the bar and even have deli meats as they enjoy a one-of-a-kind ambiance that is the T.wee Gourmet Shoppe.

“At the back, were going to have a fine wine and coffee bar, and every day you have deli sandwich meats prepared, there will even be caviar, it has the wines, the spirits, it has a wide variety of wines, the teas coffees, chocolates, pretty much anything you can find local in Guyana,” Wilcott explained.

TWEE Ltd, initially a family-owned and operated business, was incorporated since 28 December, 1961, to operate as a Duty Free Shop at Piarco International Airport, Trinidad & Tobago to trade in wines and spirits, tobacco and confectionary to the travelling public.
On January 1st, 2013, Ansa McAl Ltd acquired the business as a going concern and has continued to provide its customers with prestigious brands from select suppliers, while showcasing a portfolio of extensive Wines & Spirits such Grey Goose, Patron, Bacardi, Jack Daniels, Courvoisier, Dewar’s, Laurent Perrier and Fantinel. The company operates 24hours a day, 365 days a year.
