TWENTY-nine-year-old Maranda Cozier was recently arrested in Sao Paulo, Brazil after being found with almost three kilogrammes of suspected cocaine.
Local law enforcement authorities have partnered with their Brazilian counterpart to further investigations.

Reports indicate that the Guyanese woman left Lethem, Region Nine on December 12 last and was arrested in Brazil on December 17, 2019.
It was disclosed that the cocaine was found stashed in a quantity of body-shaping undergarments.

The Customs Anti-Narcotics Unit (CANU) was directly informed about the situation and ranks have already begun a probe in Guyana pertaining to its origin and an investigation into her background
