Minister Ferguson stated that this is a special time of the year for her. “Christmas for me is all about Christ. The advent of Christ, the whole focus on Christmas is not just about Santa Claus or the gifts, it is about Christ himself and what he came on the earth to do.
“On behalf of the government, myself and family, I wish every Guyanese a merry Christmas. Remember whatever you do, remember the focus is on the coming of our Lord Jesus,” she added.
The day’s event followed a similar exercise hosted by Education Minister Dr the Hon. Nicolette Henry, who distributed gifts to about 200 children in the region on Saturday.
