GUYANA has made significant progress in providing greater access to potable water.
According to the report, 96.0 per cent of the country’s population has access to improved drinking-water resources, while 86 per cent of the population is using improved sanitation facilities. Additionally, 88.8 per cent of the rural population has access to electricity. This is according to a report in the Guyana Chronicle dated Friday, December 13, 2019
This indicates that Guyana is on the cosmos of ensuring that every citizen enjoys the good life.

Between 2015 and March, 2019, 75,000 Guyanese gained access to potable water.
The water system now provides first-time access to potable water in the homes of more than 1000 residents.

The Guyana Water Incorporated (GWI) says that “Water is life, save it. “
This means that Guyanese from all walks of life can enjoy good-quality water from the comfort of their homes and from their taps, which in itself speaks to the caring nature of this administration.

Great achievement, though seemingly insignificant to some, is certainly a step in the right direction and a boost for Guyana’s peoples.

Our nation is known as the land of many waters, but from research, many residents from various communities were without potable water coming through their taps.
I applaud efforts undertaken by this administration to ensure that there is excellent, quality water in every home of the 10 administrative regions of this country.
