David Mohan called “Ice box”

IT is now 23 days since a 53-year-old boat captain went missing while on a fishing trip in the vicinity of the Demerara River, behind the Pegasus Hotel.

David Mohan, called “Ice box”, was last seen on Thursday, October 31, 2019, after he fell overboard from his vessel, into the river, during high tide.

According to reports reaching the Guyana Chronicle, at the time, Mohan was on his vessel with a crew member and his son, on a fishing trip. It is alleged that Mohan had complained about feeling unwell, because of his pressure.

It is alleged that Mohan’s son tried to grab him before he fell, but failed. Mohan fell out of his boat and the crew members became worried, after he did not surface.

Relatives had launched a search to find Mohan, but, after days went by, they decided to call it off. Mohan’s body is still to be recovered.
