….says body can play key role in promoting oil sector
Director, Department of Energy, Dr. Mark Bynoe, this afternoon, said the American Chamber of Commerce Guyana (AmCham) is well positioned to increase interest and investment in Guyana’s oil and gas sector and it needs only to inform stakeholders that Guyana is open for business.
Dr. Bynoe made these statements during an Interactive Session on Oil and Gas with the group, which was aimed at informing them about the role and function of the Department. His presentation included topics such as Local Content Policy, Institutional Strengthening, Resource Development, Stakeholder engagements and Cohesive Policy Framework, Planning for the future – for 2020 along with the direct and indirect benefits for Guyana.
The Director was accompanied by Legal Officer and Petroleum Geologist at the Department, Ms. Joanna Simmons and Ms. Marissa Foster, respectively.
