Doctor Carl Max Hanoman passed away on Wednesday after a brief period of illness while being treated at the Balwant Singh Hospital.

Hanoman, a medical doctor by profession, previously served on the Georgetown Public Hospital board as its chairman. He was also a one-time political leader of the United People’s Party (UPP).
