‘CAPTEEVATED’, a popular local Online clothing company, is hosting the Guyana launch of the brand tomorrow at the Cliff Anderson Sports Hall tarmac in the form of a grand neon-themed party titled, ‘BRAFF’.
Founder of the company Shawn Copeland told ‘The Buzz’ that Capteevated was created to bring a Caribbean touch to fashion.

“Capteevated is a clothing company geared towards providing persons with the latest and trendiest clothing and fashion items unique to our West Indian style and culture,” Copeland said, adding: “The company, still in its startup phase, was conceptualised in 2016 when I noticed tht mainstream clothing lacked a certain ‘Caribbean’ flair and started adding my unique style to items such as hats and t-shirts.”
The company has since built a loyal customer base of more than 4,000 individuals on its Facebook page and another 4,500 on its Instagram account.
“In what can be termed a soft launch of the brand, the company, in collaboration with various partners and sponsors, will be hosting a grand NEON party, BRAFF, on October 26th at the Cliff Anderson Sports hall tarmac. Tickets cost $1,000 up to today. It’ll be more on the day of the event, so get your tickets now,” he said.
Explaining the concept behind BRAFF and what persons can expect at the party, Copeland said that in keeping with the Jamaican/Dancehall moniker synonymous with ‘bragging’ and ‘showing off’ as a manner of positive self-expression and positivity, patrons can expect non-stop vibes from a slew of Guyana’s top DJs, trendy lighting effects, and various ‘Capteevated’ giveaways.
Of course, being that the event is a neon-themed party, patrons are expected to clad themselves in bright neon colours. Tickets can be purchased from various locations, including Grill King on Mandela Avenue; King Fish on William Street, Kitty; White Castle Fish Shop on Hadfield Street, Werk-en-Rust; Wayne’s Beverage Paradise at Bourda Market; Digicel at Stabroek; and QC Boutique on Duncan Street, Newtown.
