Enquires disclosed that motorcar PVV 4886 was racing west along the southern side of the De Kinderen road when the driver approached a turn which runs north to south and was about to overtake motorcar PMM 4818 on the same turn.
However, while overtaking, another vehicle with bright lights was in his opposite direction, thus the driver swerved resulting in the car careening into the concrete fence.
