MINISTER within the Agriculture Ministry, Valarie Adams-Yearwood, on Friday presented Riana Toney with an Acer tablet in recognition of her outstanding performance at the Caribbean Secondary Education Certificate (CSEC) examinations.
Toney, of the Anna Regina Multilateral School, topped Guyana at the recent CSEC exams. The presentation was done at the Indigenous settlement– Capoey.
According to Minister Adams-Yearwood, she was visiting the Pomeroon-Supenaam region and she saw it as an opportunity to present Toney with a gift.
She said Toney made Guyana proud with her achievements and the Ministry of Agriculture has recognised her potential by presenting her with the Acer tablet.
Toney secured 19 grade ones, including in agriculture science at CSEC. In receiving her present, Toney thanked the minister for the gift and pledged to continue to make Guyana proud.
