THE article in the Guyana Chronicle of June 21, 2019 titled ‘Talking Culture: Our Creole, ours to preserve’, is incisive, beautifully presented and relevant.

In our extant environment, such writings, if read by our youths, educators and parents would make a significant contribution to ensuring the stability of our society, and help to secure the integrity of our Nation State.
They say, ‘One, one dutty build dam’.

This effort contributes to our wholesomeness, and its author, Barrington Braithwaite deserves our commendation and gratitude.

I hereby ask you, Hon. Minister, that the article be drawn to the attention of all Educators.
I also suggest that Media Managers make use of its content, of course, observing the appropriate protocol.
