FIFTY-THREE men topped the list of 77 distinguished Guyanese who were conferred with national awards at the National Cultural Centre on the Friday.

The Head of State, President David Granger, MSS, Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces and Chancellor of the Orders of Guyana, conferred the national awards in accordance with the Order of Service of Guyana, as the country prepares to usher in its 53rd Independence Anniversary.
