GUYANA’S lone para-cyclist, Walter Grant-Stuart, for the second consecutive year has flown the Golden Arrowhead high at the Para-Cycling Championships in Canada.

He captured a gold medal in record-breaking time in the Defi Sportif Altergo Contre-La-Montre Cycling Road Race on Sunday.

Grant-Stuart, a former fireman, had won gold in the same race just last year; however, this time around he won in a record- setting time of one hour, 38 minutes and 02 seconds.

He is scheduled to compete at other para-cycling championships in Italy and Belgium in the coming weeks. Grant-Stuart is being sponsored by the National Sports Commission, Farfan and Mendes, GTT, the Guyana Fire Service, the Soesdyke Neighborhood Democratic Council, Freight Link Express, Grace Kennedy and Sylvester Soup Man (Soesdyke).
