New Minister of Business ready to work with Private Sector

NEWLY-appointed Minister of Business, Haimraj Rajkumar has vowed to work with the private sector and residents throughout Guyana. Rajkumar was at the time speaking at the opening of the third ‘Agro’ Trade Fair Exhibition held at the Anna Regina Community Centre Ground last Friday.

He said that with his new position as the Minister of Business, he has intentions of working with businesses in moving the sector and the economy forward. He also urged businesses to continue to explore the opportunities that are available within the Small Business Bureau and Go-Invest.
Minister Rajkumar told the audience at the Trade Fair that he will be available anytime to listen to business suggestions and recommendations. Rajkumar replaced Minister Dominic Gaskin.

Region Two Regional Executive Officer, Denis Jaikarran used the opportunity to congratulate Minister Rajkumar on his new posting, and pledged the Regional Democratic Council (RDCs) support in working with him.

Director of Tourism, Donald Sinclair, who was present at the Fair, also congratulated the minister, and said he looks forward to working with him.

President of the Essequibo Chamber of Commerce and Industry, Ms. Suean Sewnaryan also wished Minister Rajkumar all the best in his new post.
